The delegates meet once a year and elect an International Master Councilor and an International Congress Secretary, who lead and serve as the heads of the body for a time span of one year. Tyler joined Pilgrim Chapter on August 13th, The brother of a Past State Master Councilor, there was no doubt that he would join DeMolay though the impact that membership would have on his life was entirely up to him. Tyler was installed as Master Councilor of Pilgrim Chapter in January , which he credits as an opportunity that gave him many lessons on effective and servant leadership.
That summer he took his first shot at being a leader within the state of Pennsylvania when he was appointed as the State 5th Preceptor. In , he was elected by his brothers to serve as their State Junior Councilor, then as their Deputy State Master Councilor in , and finally as their State Master Councilor from He has received the Degree of Chevalier.
Jared S. Jared made many close bonds in his chapter who mentored and inspired him to become a better friend and leader. He served as chapter scribe for a year-long term before moving into the councilor line, during which time he completed his LCCs and earned his Representative DeMolay. In , he was elected Master Councilor of Glendale Chapter. As he traveled across Arizona and befriended young men with very different life experiences, he began to realize how DeMolay has the power to connect young men from many different backgrounds.
He was especially moved by the young men of Cochise Chapter, who he found so much in common with despite coming from two very different towns. In , Jared was installed as State Master Councilor. Inspired by the close ties he observed the previous year, he created the Banner Program as a way to strengthen the bonds across the state by increasing chapter visitations. He also developed a strong membership plan that placed Arizona DeMolay 3 in new members for the year of Jared ran for International Congress Secretary in Although he was unsuccessful, he still wanted to be involved in Congress programs.
Jared graduated from Mountain Ridge High School in He plans to transfer to Arizona State University to pursue a degree in data analytics. It is composed of dedicated adult leaders from around the world who are responsible for the growth and success of DeMolay.
John W. John Whitaker was initiated into Neale M. Without any Masonic relatives, John joined DeMolay at the suggestion of his older brother, Pat, who was already a member of the chapter.
Professionally, John has been employed at Hermitage Lighting Gallery for over 40 years. He is currently Sales Manager with a concentration on customer development and management of the outside sales force. DeMolay has always been a part of the Whitaker family. John married his DeMolay Chapter Sweetheart, Claudia and they planned their first state conclave together before their first anniversary.
They have two children, Austin and Whitney. She works in the design center for Jones Company, a residential construction company and assists with the sweetheart program. Whitney recently married Bryan Mahan, a past state officer in Oklahoma.
Marc B. His step-father, also a Mason, introduced Marc to DeMolay. By the end of his 1st year in DeMolay, he had 1st line signed 5 petitions and received his Blue Honor Key just before his 2nd anniversary in DeMolay. He has worked in the corporate world and as an entrepreneur and is currently self employed as an independent insurance agent in property and casualty insurance. Family and family traditions are very important to Marc.
He married Jane over 35 years ago. Jane has been a registered nurse for over 35 years and currently works as part of the emergency room department at Emory University Hospital. Jane and Marc are very proud of their 3 children, Stephen, Nicholas, and Heather.
Marc and Jane consider themselves exceedingly blessed and look forward to continuing their DeMolay journey together. Vincent A. Vince comes from a non-masonic family and joined the Order of DeMolay at the request of a couple of friends from school. DeMolay quickly became an important factor in his life as he served as Master Councilor of his Chapter, was a District Officer and served on the State level for several years as a Jurisdictional Officer.
He has been an active advisor for 39 years. Vince has been both of his Chapters outstanding advisor and is a holder of the Guild of the Leather Apron. Vince is a native Michiganian, not a Michigander, he graduated from Edsel B. Ford High School in Dearborn, Michigan.
Vince is a graduate of Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Professionally, Vince is an attorney for the Office of the Inspector General for the State of Michigan for the last 30 plus years. He is currently looking forward to retiring in the next year. Amberlyn is a nurse, working with elderly and disabled patients. Dominic works for the State of Michigan as a consultant for the State Opioid Response Grant, Individual Placement and Support, overseeing four pilot programs to provide employment and support services to individuals with opioid use disorders.
Both Tammie and Vince are very proud that their children continue in fields of service to others. Gregory A. Dad Chiles retired as Executive Officer in June, He was elected Grand Master on June 23, He was elected Grand Treasurer on June 29, Land Lodge in Indianapolis where he served as Worshipful Master in and He has been the Business Manager for St. Simon the Apostle Catholic Church May, Greg and his wife Dawn live in Carmel and have one grown daughter, Allison.
When not at work or a DeMolay event, Dad Chiles enjoys jogging and officiating basketball and softball games. His family has three generations of Membership in the chapter dating back to He has served in various chapter, district and state positions.
He served as Executive Officer of Idaho on three different occasions from to He was elected the 73rd Grand Master of DeMolay serving in Greg has served on a number of boards and community organizations over the years. Board of Directors The Board of Directors transacts all business of DeMolay International and is composed of 19 positions specifically defined in the By-laws.
The Board of Directors shall meet during the last three months of the calendar year at a time and place selected by the Grand Master, though traditionally, the Board of Directors meets quarterly to provide executive leadership and guidance for the organization.
