DESIGNING EMOTIONS PIETER DESMET PDF

At the moment I do not have the full paper but have read the implications and results of his work. It makes for very interesting viewing for me. The video raises some very interesting points for my research and lays out his outlook on the issues within design. His focus is on creating sustainable happiness. Whilst my focus is more creating product attachment, the goals are largely similar because products that will cause long term happiness will be the result of a long lasting relationship between product and user. His summary of happiness corresponds much with what I read about the Easterlin paradox. His general thoughts are that products are generally designed to make us feel good.
